Got you hooked?<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is your customer culture consistent?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">The very first thing to start from to build a rock-solid customer culture is setting up your company <\/span><a style=\"font-size: revert; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\" href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3zTi0UQ\">values<\/a><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">. More specifically, you&#8217;d better make sure that they <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">internally<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\"> are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Clear<\/em> &#8211; each value to express one concept with straightforward and concise words.<\/li>\n<li><em>Shared<\/em> &#8211; everybody within the company (both veterans and new hires) need to know them.<\/li>\n<li><em>Lived and breathed<\/em>\u00a0 &#8211; across the whole organization (unfortunately that&#8217;s a sore point for many companies!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Consequently, you need to convey the same values towards external customers <strong>through your actions<\/strong> in every phase of the relationship. That means being coherent in every single conversation &#8211; whether it takes place face to face, over traditional or digital support channels. Therefore you&#8217;ll want to make sure that such values are clear, meaningful and <strong>speak to the heart<\/strong> of your customers. That&#8217;s why you&#8217;d better explain what you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are standing for<\/li>\n<li>Believe in<\/li>\n<li>Expect your customer perceive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unfortunately many companies still struggle internally and \/ or externally, while few others instead have succeed. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m going to provide you with a brief selection of examples below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.starlingbank.com\/about\/responsible-banking-our-values\/\">Sterling Bank<\/a> &#8211; the british online bank has a rich &#8216;values page&#8217; illustrating their values and showing how the apply them with internal and external customers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/about.ikea.com\/en\/sustainability\">IKEA<\/a> &#8211; the swedish home furnishing giant describe their sustainability values and program, today and for the future.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/company\/our-story\/\">Salesforce<\/a> &#8211; the giant CRM \/ omni-channel provider smartly illustrate their 5 core values by telling their company history. Visuals plus ad hoc blog articles provide extra insights to the website visitor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>Over to you<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Have you built up your company culture yet? How much do your customers perceive your values? I&#8217;m asking you these two key questions since I&#8217;ve been helping many brands bridge internal \/ external <em>cultural gaps<\/em>.
